About Us

Mar Severios Memorial(MSM) ITI, Piravom, is owned by the diocese of Muvattupuzha of the Malankara Syrian Catholic Church. It was established under the diocese of Thiruvalla in 1980 by Rev.Fr.Chako Elavumparambil, a native of Piravom . He had a dream of transforming young lives of this place and he cherished it in the establishment of this ITI with the blessing and support of the bishop of Thiruvalla, His Excellency Most Rev.Issac Mar Yoohanon, another native of Piravom. When the diocese of Thiruvalla was bifurcated and the new diocese of Muvattupuzha was formed in 2003, the ownership of the ITI has been transferred to the diocese of Muvattupuzha. At present, it is managed by Mar Severios Memorial Educational and Charitable Trust with the bishop of Muvattupuzha as the patron.

The ITI is situated near govt. hospital, Piravom in Ernakulam district in the state of kerala, India. It has a campus spread over four acres and has a calm and pleasant atomosphere. The ITI, started with two trades, Draughtsman(civil) and Fitter, has grown now to the status of an ISO certified institution offering training in six NCVT approved trades.They are Draughtsman (civil), Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Fitter, Mechanic(Motor Vechicle) and Plumber. The ITI is unique with a blend of industry experienced faculty, success oriented students and updated infrastructure. More over, we are blessed with conglomerates of supportive firms and industries which provide both technical facilities and employment opportunities.

During the past 42 years more than 8000 students have been trained in this institution and almost all of them got placement in different companies and establishments in and abroad. Many others have become entrepreneurs.
